The Town & County Club was founded in 1925 to create "an organized center for women’s work, thought and action." Advancing the interests of women and promoting science, literature and the arts were core goals for these pioneering and visionary women of the Hartford region. Today, the Town and County Club remains committed to this founding vision, while continuing to diversify our membership and programs.

The historical club house is a warm atmosphere where members bring guests and colleagues to relax over a meal, talk leisurely or engage in group activities such as: bridge, books, languages, current events, classic films, stimulating programs or opportunities to serve our community.

The Town & County Club is a community of bright, engaging women and we welcome applications to grow our membership.  As the first club president said in 1925, “We are a pleasant place where we may go freely and meet pleasant people and different points of view." To learn more, please contact our General Manager, George Arnold at garnold@towncounty.com or complete or membership inquiry form.
